Catholics of the OT. Where does one go to find a good Catholic Bible, to get someone as a gift? And is there a certain version of a Catholic Bible that’s better than others? I’m not Catholic so I know nothing about Catholic bibles. TIA.

Google catholic bookstores near BR. The only Catholic bookstore that I know of is in Metairie.

Definitely reputable book stores, but not for bibles, especially Catholic bibles.

Order this one from Ascension Press.

Ascension also makes an extremely nice Catechism book.

Ignoring subjective issues like preferred translations, Protestants reject some of the books of the Bible that Catholics consider canon.

“Protestant” bibles don’t include several books that were part of the first 1500 years of the Bible.

I love a good OT Christianity fight

The Catholics usually beat the Baptists into submission here
