no way. yeah, it would suck living under a dictator but not even close to being as bad as some of these shitholes in africa.

Yeah, at least if you live in North Korea you have been brainwashed to believe the rest of the world is even worse and you are being taken care of by the almighty ruler. Ignorance would be bliss in this situation.

What is just as bad about all those places is that they'll never get better. There is no way to right that ship without starting totally from 0.

That is what is so infuriating about our towns/cities here at home that are heading down the path of destruction. Once infrastructure crumbles, crime moves in, and money disappears into peoples pockets there is no hope. There is never enough money and resources to get things back on track.

Depends on the person. Some people are living in their own personal hell.

I imagine being a female or homosexual in a lot of middle eastern or African countries probably sucks. Being an abused spouse even in a wealthy American suburb probably sucks. Being an Ole Miss fan in Tiger Stadium is no picnic.

Those garbage pictures are astounding though. Good grief.

This is where they have the infamous "toilet beach" where the entire population just goes and shits in the sand.

That combined with the violence and lack of decent medical care has probably puts this one over the top.

Bennington was commissioned in August 1944, and served in several of the later campaigns in the Pacific Theater of Operations, earning three battle stars. Decommissioned shortly after the end of the war, she was modernized and recommissioned in the early 1950s as an attack carrier (CVA), and then eventually became an Antisubmarine Aircraft Carrier (CVS). In her second career, she spent most of her time in the Pacific, earning five battle stars for action during the Vietnam War. She served as the recovery ship for the Apollo 4 space mission.

She was decommissioned in 1970, and sold to be scrapped in India in 1994.
