Where are you located? I'm in Hayesville and the leaves on my property have just started to change.

Northeast or upper Great Lakes are the best places. Second tier would be the Mid Atlantic region.
Out West, you get a lot of gold and it happens pretty quick. Too many evergreens in the West for much of a show. Our leaves change from August to October, depending on the type of tree, but deciduous trees are hard to find on the Coast.

I think the best is probably areas with lots of maple trees, like Vermont, new Hampshire, etc...
my favorite place in the fall is the rockies...I just live to see the bright yellow of aspen foliage in the fall....that has passed for the year, though...

Upstate New York right now is perfect. I've been grouse hunting all weekend in the hills with picture perfect foliage

Pretty much anywhere there are mountains and cooler weather in October. Tennessee and North Carolina are nice along the smokey mountain area. Virginia and even Vermont/New Hampshire are great too. To me it's about the scenery and not just the colors. Which is why I like the smok mountain national park area. Last two weeks of October are typically the best but you can see some in Sept and even up to Thanksgiving.

Pretty good. It's early in the season and we were really working a younger dog a lot to get experience. Decent numbers of grouse and woodcock but would have been more I bet if we'd just run the senior dogs

What type of dogs y'all got?

I was at Arlington National Cemetery in the beginning of November a couple of years ago. The colors were amazing. Dark green grass with all different shades of trees with the rows and rows of white grave markers. I walked around there for a few hours in awe.
Not my pictures, but you can see how awesome it is.
