You are a fricking tough guy! Why don't you get back out there on the streets and shoot some dogs or a guy holding a sword but is of no real threat. No wonder why you defend other cops who use excessive force to KILL someone.
Common sense would be to shoot him in the leg, but no that wouldnt put another notch on your gun. Unless the guy jumped out on the cops as was within 3 ft, the sword won't do shite. Plus I bet the cops walked up to this guy to begin with. If the cops would just stay at 10 ft, he is no threat. Still a cold blooded cop killing b/c he got a badge. What a big tough guy.

Yeah, it's all we need, cops shoot him in knees, ends up damaging his knee, he's on SSI for rest of his life and were all paying for him.

I surely hope this is sarcasm and you aren't a police officer...
But the mentality above is the mantra of LEOs everywhere. There is an inherent risk with being a police officer. If you are unwilling to accept at least some risk of injury, as opposed to using the maximum amount of "authorized" force in every situation, then you really shouldn't be a police officer.

Actually Cops don't want to shoot anyone, and killing a person is the last thing on their lists.
Sure, you have a wack job or few who are gun happy. But the majority want to do their shift and then go home to their families.
My father worked 35(counting drop years) years as a City of St.Louis police officer, many years in the worst of the worst hoods and never shot a person. And to this day, that's some thing he's proud of and is glad to have not had to happen.
To think the cops want to shoot and kill people is ignorant. You deal with each incident as it plays out. Sometimes people do everything they can to get the cops to pull that trigger. Suicide by cop is real. Pussies who couldn't do it themselves put a cop in the worst position of having to do it for them, thus affecting that cops life forever.
