According to the crime map, the last day there wasn't a homicide in New Orleans was three days ago. And there were a total of three homicides in the last week.

So I guess that takes care of that question.

There have only been 28 murders this year in New Orleans so I would say it hasn't been that long ago.

Well, the good news is that 2014's murder rate reach a historic 43-year low

Like the guy earlier in the missing girl thread. I didn't comment but when someone questioned calling the police after not hearing from someone for 2 days he said something along the lines of "people take people these days" as if kidnap hasn't always been a new problem and ignoring the fact crime is at an all time low.
