Def get another one. They live a better life with a buddy. I had an old lady give me hard time about it once but started to notice the difference with my lab when she was at my parents with another dog.

We got another lab a couple of months ago. Even though there is a 4 year difference they still play all the time. They older they get the more they will enjoy each other.

I got another when my first was about 3. Now have 2 females and they are inseparable. They both get extremely sad when the other goes to the vet so I try to take them together.

I also have my mom's dog right now. 2 is easier than 1, in my opinion. 3 dogs is like having 15. It's awful.

When we would leave the house our Weim would get very upset and start barking and run back and forth through the house.

If we left through the back he would run out the doggy door and stand barking at the gate.

We got a rescue dog a year ago and we saw positive results almost immediately. He does't bark when we leave and they both are very compatible.

When my wife brought home a yorkie without telling me.

Went out and got a boxer without telling her.

We've talked about it and want to get a second dog when my current dog is ten, so she can impart her wisdom and great behavior to the new dog. I always get rescue pups.

The best way to train a dog is to have an older dog do it.

When my SO wanted to foster a pup that was hours from being euthanized, and then came home with him and said "he's ours now."

I wasn't pleased at first, but he's a great dog and having him keeps my first dog happy while they are alone.

Mine are 2 years apart 6 and 8. They are pretty good together. When the younger goes to the vet the older gets nervous

You could have sugar-coated this joke a little and make the readers have to put two and two together for the laugh.

You should have said:

"Once the cops showed up"

Probably trade him in for a dog that isn't some SJW wuss.

I was only joking. I never mind buying another dog. I love them.

If your dog needs another pack member, then why not

When the first is out of bad habits. And to whoever said stop at 2, I agree. I wish I only had two, but love all three of them.

Though I do constantly contemplate getting rid of the wheaten terrier.
Never will though.
