I think it's attention whoring at its finest.
My wife had this coverup thing you draped around your neck that let her nurse with the baby out of sight. It was less than $20. It's really not that difficult.

Idgaf. I think the whole female-nipples-being-obscene thing is way overblown.

No big deal. You don't see that much.

I have no problem with it per se, but I don't get it sometimes. Like the other day I went eat with an aunt and some of her friends and their kids. One of the daughters had an infant. We're at the table, done eating and just talking. Then I turn to my right and get a eye full of breastfeeding action. Not a huge deal, but it would have been no big deal at all to walk somewhere a little more private instead of doing it right at the table. Whereas recently we were at the doctors office and a woman was doing it in the waiting room. I've got nothing against that. She doesn't have much of another option while waiting to be called. If it's needed, I get it, if there's an easy alternative, I don't understand why some feel the need to do it.

Maybe a strategic coverup in certain places
What is a strategic coverup in the first place? I'm genuinely curious, because I've never seen a woman breast feeding in public with an entire tit out in the first place. I'm not suggesting it has never happened, but I'd imagine this "strategic coverup" occurs 99% of the time anyway.

But why should she have to? I don't understand how we as a species have come to have a problem with the natural feeding of our infants.

No problem if you cover up while doing it. Also don't let your 8 year old pull one out on his own and use it for a water fountain. That's getting into a whole different level of trash.

I'm pro breastfeeding in public, but come on now. You can use the same logic to argue you should be allowed to piss and shite wherever you like. They're all natural bodily functions and instincts, but we can still have some common decency. My opinion is that breastfeeding in public doesn't infringe on that decency, so have at it.
This gets brought up quite a bit, and everyone seems to be in support of it, so I'm beginning to wonder if this is really even a thing. I've see ridiculous FB videos of people shaming a woman for breastfeeding in public, but I'm 110% sure those are fake. Is there really a public outcry against this kind of thing?

Are you equating feeding with dumping waste? We eat in front of each other all the time, why can't babies do the same? I don't think feeding a child is indecent, that's my point.

Let the babies eat when they get hungry. Women who Breast feeding should not be forced to stay home all of the time.

Me either - I'm for it.

Not exactly, but I took your original point to mean how did we as a society demonize something so natural, and I just pointed out other natural acts we do as humans. It doesn't change the fact that I agree with your original point - there is nothing wrong with it.

As long as I can suck on the free tit I'm cool with her baby getting some too.

I don't care, they can do what they want with that issue.
Just don't change your baby's dirty diaper at a restaurant table.

Some babies freak out when a cloth is covering their face. I'd rather not hear a screaming baby.

Why is this remotely a news topic? It's a natural thing.
