-15 is the coldest, I don't know what the windchill was. But what ever it was, breathing made your lungs hurt.

-23 visiting a cousin’s ranch in Wyoming. It was a 2 or 3 day stretch where it stayed below 0 with lows in the -20 to -25 range.

I am currently offshore on Exxon Hebron, therefore I am currently experiencing the coldest weather ever for me.

-60ish wind chill, I think about -40 actual. Minot, ND in 2013. I’m heading there Monday for a few days, but I think the low next week should “only” be about -15 (high all week will be about 3 last I looked).

50 below in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. Way up in the mountains. Zero wind. Dead calm.

Tried to start a Caterpillar that had a pony motor starter - very old Cat. Had about a 1-inch by 1 foot rope pulley/flywheel. I tried to tap the ice off the big pulley with a hammer. Didn't hit it hard. Just tapped it. The cast iron pulley shattered like it was made of glass.

Short term I've been in single digit temps with very little wind.

Coldest I've ever been was in January 2006, in Jersey City, NJ near the Hudson River. High temps for the coldest week I was there were around 25, and winds were around 40mph. One of the ferries sank that week because of the weather.

-38 wind chill in Denver back in either '95 or '96. I think the temp was around -10 or so. I just remember you really didn't want to breathe deep and only through a shirt or scarf. It hurt my lungs a little.

Wind off the water can chill you to the bone.

50 below with no wind didn't actually feel crazy cold.

The coldest I ever felt was January in Burlington Vermont with the North wind howling off Lake Champagne.

-50 wind chill A Basin
I work at the Basin, I’ve taken more than a few lift rides in the -40 to -50 wind chill range. Single digit temps with hurricane force winds are no joke

Around -20 in Minneapolis in Jan or Feb. it wasn’t windy though.

Coldest I’ve ever felt was actual temp of right around zero in Wichita with some humidity and a stiff wind. Absolutely brutal. Ground was completely covered in frozen rain “pellets”. Was like walking on slippery pea gravel
