What's the best company for white water rafting within a couple hours of Denver?

River Runners, wasn't too far of a drive, really good action. Watched almost every other raft flip but ours

Used them twice on two different rivers.

Mountain Whitewater Decent in Fort Collins is legit. Great guides and class 4 rapids. They have a cool bar out back where you can have a beer and watch pics of the trip on tv after.

Royal Gorge was awesome. Did the swing that goes over the gorge. Drove across the suspended wood bridge and did white water rafting with Echo Canyon Adventures.

One of the "other" company's guides actually refused to let my wife hold on to their raft for a few seconds after she fell in! It was the company that uses the red rafts. The guide actually screamed at her to "get off his damn raft!"

that's messed up and goes against everything you do for a customer in the water.
It's like when you are on a boat, you are supposed to render aid if you can.

Aspen Whitewater Rafting. Was one of the most exciting things I've ever done. Plus you'll be in Aspen which is the most beautiful piece of the USA. The drive to and from Denver is also amazing.

Yeah fort carson is the way to go. With small kids I'd do the easier one without helmets, its still a hell of a lot of fun. If its adults, do the one with helmets

Just an awesome run - royal gorge and pine creek are fun too. I guided up there a long time ago - I would run the browns canyon trip. I was never experienced enough to guide the numbers/royal gorge/pine creek trifecta, but, every year, all the guides would head up there, camp out and make those runs before the season started (when the water was running really high). good times.

Yep, total a-hole. I probably shouldn't let one employee form my opinion about a company, but that one guide put a bad taste in my mouth toward that whole rafting company.

I've done the Royal Gorge. It's awesome. But, they might as well fly into Colorado Springs if they want to go to Canon City.
