Education, I'd go back to the neighborhood school system and lose the desegregation busing.

I think with true neighborhood schools then better areas would see better public schools and people would be more likely to live in BR with kids as opposed to white flight to the burbs. This should also help traffic with less commuting, hopefully.

Or it might help nothing.

Most fixable and which would I love to do are two different things.

Most fixable is traffic. Give Iberville a bridge, and thus build a loop.

I'd fix selfishness. From the poor person thinking they deserve something to the rich white guy not wanting a greenway near his house, I think it would fix a lot.

I know this isn't important, but....

How about a small step like not leaving significant automobile parts on the side of a road after an accident.

How the hell the tow truck driver or owner of the vehicle can't be cited for littering is beyond me. I know of 4 full plastic bumpers covers on the side of the road within 5 miles of LSU campus.

I've thought about starting an official picture thread in the hopes the media would pick up on it.

Trashy and blatant disregard for the city.

More government is needed. More politicians and taxes, too.

I'm always wary of statistics like this. I've never felt my life was in danger in BR. I bet most people are the same.

I used to work and live out there. Never felt my life was in danger.

Then again, I am not mixed up in the thug life.

It would give homes and businesses super high speed internet for a fraction of the price of what incumbent companies charge now, put Baton Rouge on the map more than it is now, and attract new business based on that kind of bandwidth being available. Multiple companies and business relocated cross country to Lafayette after they built out their network.

Your solution to the problems of Baton Rouge is better internet?

Also, get rid of the turning left lane at Trader Joe's. Those soccer moms can get out at Acadian.
