Make up a hobby like competitive sock rolling or ice cube stacking. You could be the best in the world if you are the only one doing it.

That's a pretty sad way at looking at things, man.

idk i just feel like i'm being honest with myself. in a way it really drives me to work harder at the things i care about because i feel like there's so much room for improvement. i still get my jollies from the things i do achieve, but i always feel like i can be improving. obviously we are all limited by our talent, so i know i have my own limits. ultimately i judge my own performance against what i feel is my true maximum level of achievement.

for example, a couple of years ago i trained for 3-4 months to run a mile. i got down to 5:56 at the end, which is incredibly fast for me. i still feel like, with better, harder & smarter training i could get down to the 5:20's, so i have room to improve the next time i make an attempt at it, but i'm not down on myself for not running a 4:30 mile, because i really don't think my body is capable of that. still reasonably happy with the 5:56, but i know i can do better.

I wouldn't say I am dissappointed with anything.

I did figure I would be married and have kids by now.

That can be interpretted two ways though.

Some would say I dodged a bullet.

Everyone was a miserable sob after that game that posts on this website. Let's not lie to yourselves.

I think mine has to be the feeling of a lot of "living" left to do. I need more life experiences.

To me, the best way to get these is to travel and let go. I'm making a concerted effort to do this right now.

The working world. All the rage is about going to school so you can get a job sitting in an office all day with 2 or 3 weeks of vacation a year. And for what? So you can live it up when youre 60?

No, just the LSU fans were, I found it entertaining. I never really liked my college's team. So them losing like they were and are now has never bothered me.

Yes

More to the former than the latter, though

I was at that game in the dome and had to stay through the trophy ceremony. I had to miss a bunch of family and friends' events to go to it. I have a few a-hole bama fan friends, it was brutal.

It disappoints me that all these
M-F jobs are the same. They all make you work 40 hours a week. Doesn't matter what industry you are in. Any way you slice it- 4 10's 9 80 schedule, half day Fridays you still work 40 hours a week. Why don't some companies say "hey, we feel our employees should work 32 hours a week. We'll pay them a little less, but that's just our philosophy" Nope. They're all cookie cutter.

That's generally how it is to start, but later in your career, most employers don't care how many hours you work at the office as long as you get your work done.

idk i think if you don't want the office job life there are opportunities out there for you. you can work for a contractor or start your own business, work construction. there are a lot of opportunities out there besides office jobs.
