Had to write an academic paper regarding this topic a few months ago, but it's stimulated my interests. I'm curious as to what others' perspectives about it are.

I found out today that Sister Schubert rolls are made with genetically engineered ingredients.

More foods than you think are produced with some sort of genetic modification

What are you using it for?

Curing disease and increasing food yield is great.

Creating super humans is bad.

If I could start over that is the field I would get in. Its basically the future. We will be able to remove bad genetics, stop disease like cancer, etc. The potential will be there to make superhumans and even merge characteristics from other animals into humans where it gives us an advantage.

Thats just the human aspect. We will be able to do the same for our food supply. A good portion of our fruits and vegetables are already genetically modified. Even slaughter animals we will be able to make all of our cows have the best marbling and have the best weight to carcass ratios.

This was an excellent podcast on genetic engineering of plants

This was a college paper right?

This doesn't seem like the kind of paper a girl in a hot girl major would have to write but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt

What would you say your OT rating is?

I've actually dabbled a lot in this topic academically and farm myself so I'm really curious to hear what your insights are

I work in a lab that uses CRISPR gene editing. I think we should get somatic gene therapy down to perfection before we do any germ line work.

Thank you for your perspective, I'll look into that podcast!
