Bold move.

White liberals don't eat there, their vagina-maws can't handle red meat.

So you are left with non-white liberals, and conservatives.

Now they want to ostracize conservatives.

Whataburger is now a chain catering to non-white liberals. . .exclusively. Hope it works out for them!

Good for WB. I hope all the nutjob bubbas boycott them so the drive through lines are shorter.

Although I suspect almost all Major chains will do the same. Soccer moms and kids do not want to eat their happy meals next to Jim Bob "exercising his rights." It's just uncomfortable for everyone...

So two things.

1) Lots of people exercise their rights without her ever knowing it. So she's basically being ignorant to the fact that more people carry and she never sees it.

2) What if she sat next to a plain clothes cop with their gun showing? Will she get up and leave? Is she now scared of the mere sight of a gun?

Unless you're talking about something else that is legal, like cigarettes.

I like that people down voted but have zero response to my post.

At least give a rebuttal.

I just don't understand the people who get unnerved by some fat bubba openly carrying.

Do people think criminals engage in this behavior? Are there some news stories of 1911Forums message board posters pulling out $1500.00 Dan Wesson pistols from their $200 Milt Sparks holsters and robbing a Wendys that I've missed?

Exactly. No one has responded to why they are uncomfortable with it yet cops open carry everyday.

It can't just be the sight of gun.

What's the deal issue of seeing a plain clothed person open carrying.

I'm curious about that.

Most of the people who make a big deal about open carry look weird as frick.

People who look weird as frick make me uncomfortable anyway, and when I see someone who looks weird as frick who is also holding a weapon easily capable of killing me it makes me even more uncomfortable. I'd prefer not to be uncomfortable when eating my patty melt.

I say this as a gun-owner with a CCL.

Edited to add:
I'm not talking about a hunter or cowboy looking guy with a holstered pistol.

I'm talking about one of those Sons of Anarchy looking d-bags with an AR-15.

Just let me eat my fricking sandwich.

This is exceedingly rare, though. I'm pretty active in gun communities and I've never seen it in person. I do see fat guys open carrying with their wives, though.

The only risk they pose is going all SWAT on the off chance some banger comes in to rob the place while they're eating.

If you're carrying a gun on your person as you go about your daily business I assume you are either incredibly paranoid, making a political statement, or actively want to use it.

In all three cases I don't want to be around that person. I don't want to be around anyone concealed carrying either, but I don't know about so there's nothing for me to react to.

Or maybe they're like me, and they like guns and only suffer from mild paranoia?

I'm no threat to you bro, trust me, I'm not itching for a gunfight and 99.9% of gun owners are the same.

Completely different conversation. Those assholes do more to hurt gun rights than the Brady bill people will ever do.

"It can't just be the sight of gun."

That is exactly it. It's unsettling in say... Frisco TX... for a mom and her kids to be sidled up in a booth next to bubba with his holster.

If you don't understand that, like WB does, then no use debating this.
