Commanche.
Read about the Texas settlements. Horrible shite they did. Raided ranches, kill and scalp the men, kidnap the women. Beat the infants against trees for crying. Burn the noses off of the young girls.
fricking savages.

Don't forget about the Incans. They were the deadliest of the deadly. Just read any history book.

Comanche followed by Apache. Only reason Apache is second because of Geronimo, Cochise, and they are the only tribe to my knowledge that lived with the Comanches and weren't basically forced to become Comanches.
I was told the only reason the Sioux were not wiped out is because the Comanches hated cold weather and the Sioux knew not to go south of Kansas.

Yea.. Apache means 'Enemy', they were no joke. But they were pushed all over Texas by the Comanche. The Comanche dominated every area they touched.

At the end of the day, probably the Comanche were most feared - they were widespread and unpredictable. In their own way Apache and Lakota have been revered over the years by the white culture (probably somewhat out of guilt), because they were perceived to epitomize the "noble savage" stereotype.
But, even other Indians didn't like the Comanche. They had a reputation of being violent, brutal and unpredictable.

So, if I read this right, Germany would no doubt have defeated Japan heads up during WWII era, but you much rather would have been a POW of Germany, so Germany was to Japan what the Comanche were to the Attakapas?

Absolutely spot on with the Comanche. Their war trail went through Big Bend National Park and down into Mexico. The folks who lived along the route feared the pillaging Comanche and the horrific raids that they regularly made.

The Comanche are the reason the Texas Rangers were formed. They were the force that finally turned the tide against them due to their irregular tactics.

According to Empire of the Summer Moon it was the Comanche along with their war parties that contained Kiowa and Cheyenne allies.
