East St. Louis or the Super 8 by the Sacramento airport.
East Boogie (that what is was referred to back in 64) I was going to school at Scott AFB and our instructors told us to avoid going through East St. Louis at all cost and if we did - run ever damn right light until your reached the bridge to cross over into St.Lou.

The area from Tallulah to Lake Providence, which includes Transylvania, is pretty damn depressing.

Tough call

West Memphis and Corinth, MS come to mind

I also lived in small town Minnesota for a winter and that was probably the worst time of my life

I've been to Nicaragua, Vietnam, Mexico, the current Desire projects, the magnolia projects pre-katrina, Fischer projects, etc.....

My answer to this thread is Baton Rouge

Seattle during the WTO protest. Biggest collection of losers you'll ever find

California City, Ca. Or Barstow, Ca. Most California desert towns are grim, depressing places.

Corinth isnt anywhere near the same level as West Memphis.

Not a bad town in my experience, for MS.

Batesville, MS and some town in Ark about an hour after you cross into West Memphis were pretty shitty. I can't even remember the town in Ark.
