It sure looks like a brown widow, but that egg sac proves that it isn't.

This is the brown widow egg sac:

You should probably nuke your house from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

Nah.

I see maybe 5 wolf spiders in my house a week. Killed one in the bathroom this morning. Sometimes I let them live.

Is a wolf spider different there or do you just like living in hell on earth?

This is only wolf spider I'm familiar with.

And they carry their babies on their back.

I've killed hundreds between camp house and our plant is covered up with them. The only thing I've seen bright on them is the orange hour glass on belly. OP needs to flip or wait until she lays that spiked sack of eggs.

ETA: just saw the egg sack pic not a brown widow,!their sacks posted on this page

Brown extrovert.

Closely related to the brown recluse but much more social & outgoing.

Yeah that's them. I've seen the bigger than that in my house. Oh and believe me many times I've stepped on one and the babies go everywhere.

I don't really mind them because I like to think they keep the bad spiders away.

It's actually an immature black widow, often mistaken for a brown widow.

It is an immature black widow. They start out brown and then turn black as they mature.
