I have to go there soon for business, I'm gonna be there for a week so im wondering if there is anything fun to do or good bars around that area worth seeing?

I've heard Brady's is a good place to eat, is there a late night crowd as well?

I have a buddy that plays live music there at least once week.. usually plays until around closing time, so I would think so.

Bob Browning.. he usually either plays at Brady's in Hammond, or makes the trek up to BR and plays at either Bogie's on an obscure night or at Brightside during the week. When I used to work at Sangria/Bears/whatever the hell that bar is now, he would play on certain nights and would usually bring a decent crowd.

One of my buddies from school went to Southeastern for undergrad and said Bob would pack Brady's on Thursdays. I think he's actually playing down there tonight.

I recommend Cate Street Pub. The Brown Door is alright as well. They are down the street from each other (practically next door really) so you could go back and forth.

Tope la (sp?) is a pretty good place to eat.

Other than that...not much in Hammond.

University Tap Room (adjacent to the buzz)has a pretty good beer selection, and they do trivia night on Wednesdays

Brady's Thursdays are where you want to be. Bob Browning is worth listening to, and he knows how to get everybody havin a good time.

The Sky Bar at Kirin is a cool place to hang out too.

Your Mom's usually has a pretty good crowd.

I wouldn't recommend The Buzz unless you feel like clubbing.
