Well I didn't say it wasn't pretty. Closest 14er is Mt. Evans, which you can drive almost to the top of.

A beer selection you won't find anywhere else. Service is sometimes questionable but despite that, one of my favorite places in Denver. Also conveniently located near Coors Field.

Closest 14ers to Gtown are Grays n Torreys. You can bag them both in one trip if you hit the trail early enough. Get into the Indian Peaks Wilderness west of Nederland and do some hkking, I suggest the Diamond Lake trail. Easy mellow hike and great reward of scenery up at the lake. Check the Red Rocks concert schedule for sure. There's good mountain and and road biking around Breck and Frisco. Don't hit the resort slopes, those are gnarly downhill trails and you will die if you're not an experienced mtn biker. There's good fishing along the Blue River between Silverthorn and Green Mountain Reservoir. Get a day license because rangers are everywhere. Don't hit the Coors brewery, it's lame. It's now automated and stupid. Check out the breweries and their tap rooms in and around downtown. Breck's main brewery is a bigger one to take a tour. They're building a new facility too. Falling Rock, as mentioned, is a good tap house (started by guys from Kingwood, TX in '97).

I like Sancho's Broken Arrow. It is a Grateful Dead bar with tons of heady memorabilia from the jam scene. Air hockey and pool taboot. The owners also operate Quioxte's True Blue, another cool spot. Cervantes is a free-for-all if there every was one.

sanchos is cool. quioxte is meh. and cervantes is asking people to stop smoking inside.

Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen play at Red rocks in exactly one week. Awesome music venue spot with some cool hiking/scenery.

If you like chasing slutty chicks and fighting off douche bags, you can always go to View House by Coors Field
