Be absolutely sure to do some hiking further up in the hills (only 30-45 min drive from Greenville) and go visit the Brevard area in NC (maybe an hour and 10 mins). There is some decent fly fishing near there as well. Gorgeous part of the country.

Also, the Greenville Drive games (minor league baseball) are actually pretty fun to attend. A lot of people drinking and hanging out.

The downtown area with the park and waterfalls are pretty cool too.

Great suggestions so far. I live here, and you can't go wrong just walking downtown and stuffing yourself with beer and food at any number of restaurants. My favorites are the Trappe Door and Lazy Goat. Friday night you can eat outside at Lazy Goat and take in a free concert across the "river".
Downtown has an awesome farmers market on Saturdays thst is worth checking out, and you could always rent a bike or run on the swamp rabbit trail. The Dark Corner Distillery is pretty neat for an afternoon (moonshine), and you might want to check out the Peace Center to see what is playing there when you are here.

Welcome, and enjoy!

Can't really go wrong downtown...a lot of great restaurants. I would hit up Thomas Creek Brewery. It's like a $8-$10 Uber ride from downtown and has some great beer.

If you get a chance take in a Greenville Drive baseball game. They're a Red Sox affiliate and their Fluor Field is a replica of Fenway Park including the green monster and the Pesky pole. On some days the nearby Shoeless Joe Jackson museum will be open.

I spent a little more than a week in Greenville for work a few years ago. The motel room next to mine was occupied by 4 girls who were working the traveling stripper circuit. The highlight of the week was one afternoon when my neighbors hosted a get together for a group of local lesbians.
