Do your job to the best of your abilities, and GTFO.

Avoid Woodruff Rd at all cost. I85 South 4pm-6pm complete standstill past BMW.
Downtown is legit. Greenville Drive games are downtown, amazing venue walking distance to all of downtowns bars and restaurants. Swamp rabbit trail, Falls Park, Spill the Beans. Soby's, Tupelo Honey, walk Main Street on a Saturday night and bar hop. Do not drive with even a single beer in your system, cops hand out DUIs like you wouldn't believe.

Eat. They have a shite ton of kick arse local spots....it's been 5-6 since I've been but I recall downtown was awesome....both day and night

They've got a pretty good frisbee golf course there, and as said the downtown area is great.

If you are into history, they have a nice little museum there with original Civil War artifacts

Greenville has one of the fastest growing food scenes in the US. Husk is opening up a location there. Ask the food board for suggestions. And ignore anyone who says to leave - they are just exposing themselves as ignorant.

Any Rick Irwin restaurant is legit. Nantucket I believe is one, great seafood dishes. I also enjoyed Passareli's on falls park,
Excelling Italian. Greenville has a charming downtown and decent night life, lots of bars and less clubs. If you're into the beer scene and don't wanna travel out to Asheville, there are a few breweries Travelers Rest abt 10 miles north of the city near Furman U.
As for that,
Avoid Woodruff and Pelham road. Spartanburg is pretty terrible too.

We spent a few days there last year when the Saints played the panthers. We had a really good time bar hopping downtown and found some nice restaurant there too. Overall, came away impressed with Greenville.
