he's playing 20,000 seats in Knoxville next month and seats are $500+. If they were $100 I would probably go.

Same...hated missing out on Elton John earlier this month.

People are so off in this thread. There aren’t many musicians at all that would sell out tiger stadium. Multiple answers in here actually played tiger stadium already and proved they couldn’t come close

I went to that one, great show. Elton can't move around much anymore, but he hasn't lost much on the piano or vocals.

He could maybe pack 100,000 in for a special last time ever farewell concert. In London.

agreed. the whole "callin baton rouge" thing is attracting folks who probably can't name another one of his songs.

Only because of seating limitations, I'd imagine. At least for Taylor Swift, she sold out the 59,000 or however many seats there were. She's done multiple shows over 100,000 in attendance, albeit in larger population areas. 107k over back to back shows in Levi stadium, 118k in the Rose Bowl, 130k+ in Ireland. I don't see why a one-off show in Tiger Stadium couldn't draw 102k.

We didn't sell a whole lot of beer on the Taylor Swift night but we got to see her show and it was a hell of a performance

False... It was her first stadium performance and she came off stoic and lacking energy. IMO anyways

She also cannot dance at all which for a popstar equates to a lot of strutting around striking poses all night

I doubt she put 100K in the stadium

That is going to be an absolute traffic fricking nightmare when you Think about how nobody will be leaving the this concert early like they do a football game. 100k all at once. Y’all have fun with that

1980's Michael Jackson likely could have filled the stadium

I honestly cannot think of one artist today that can fill the arena.

I think Lil' Wayne would come close just because his music tends to cross racial divides. I'd go to his concert in TS

I'm going to Garth to hear "Callin' Baton Rouge" performed live. SO many great memories in TS singing that song before screaming my arse off for the Tigahs

What about Justin Timberlake? He puts on a hell of a concert

The list is not very long because you would need someone that cross genres with mass appeal.

Garth Brooks
The Rolling Stones
Taylor Swift
Beyonce
Kanye West
Bruno Mars
Justin Timberlake / Nsync Reunion
Lady Gaga
Dave Matthews Band
U2

Not sure if either could be done on own, but if Pearl Jam / Foo Fighters / Rage Against the Machine / Metallica or some similar combo did a show together

The list is nonexistent or you would see these people actually selling out football stadiums on a regular basis. Why play in an arena for 20k if you think you could sell out a stadium of 80-100k?

The fact that stadium tours aren’t normal is testament to how few artists can attract that type of crowd.

And let’s be honest here - 100k isn’t even Garth’s largest show. God knows how many people were in Central Park back in the day.

And let's not forget that King George had Reba with him too. She is a big draw herself.

I would be shocked if a weekend Rolling Stones show in Tiger Stadium wouldn't sell out in hours, especially if they weren't playing anywhere in Texas on the same tour. You would get 30K people from Houston alone.

The only reason I don't say it would be a guaranteed sell out is the weather.
