Every time I'm on I-12 going into Baton Rouge I see that bill board that says "stop human trafficking" and I always think that human traffic is pretty stop and go at the moment

It would look like the porn business.

It's a strange concept to me...Get paid to have sex = illegal. Get paid to have sex, film it, then sell the film = legal.

No, most of them are drug addicts who are free to clean up anytime they want. Getting clean might not be easy but most don't have the stereotypical Hollywood pimp controlling them.

World's oldest profession. If no one was willing to pay them for it they'd go out of business.

In all seriousness,I would think that there's a whole lot more sad cases than the flip side.

Supporting a drug habit,or being pimped out and all that goes with that.

I can't imagine a "Happy Hooker".

It's always been absurd to me that it's illegal to sell something that you can give away for free

If the woman is willing I don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe it's illegal for moral reasons but if it's legal in one county I don't see why not the next.

I get you. I love going down to Mexico, pay $20, and banging it out with some chick who's prob 14 and doesn't know anything else. Really wish they could send these kids across the border and I could do that here legally. I'd even be willing to pay the guy more money to go into that dark, dingy world....I mean room. At least I could come home afterwards and kiss my daughter on the forehead then knowing I hadn't committed a crime.

Does that straw man hold you tenderly while you cry yourself to sleep? Real life isn't Hollywood.

It isn't one or the other, it's some of both.

Would it clean up the streets?

How would legalization affect it?

Not sure about any of that but I guarantee the government would tax the shite out of it.

Along those same lines if she catches an STD and being a prostitute is her occupation is she now on tax-payer subsidized disability?

It should remain illegal. However it should be policed like immagration in a sanctuary city.

If they willingly do this, they are neither. To me they are criminals if they screw over their customers who are treating them fairly.

if sex is legal and selling is legal, then why is selling sex not legal too? George Carlin

Here's a better question. How come the "my body my choice" crowd isn't supporting legalizing prostitution? A woman has a choice to murder her unborn baby but not to sell her vajayjay? How come the left isn't screaming for legalization?

Not all sex is legal. For example, necrophilia is legal as long as its not oral.
