What is your opinion of the Baton Rouge Advocate's website?

The popups and ads are insufferable. I get my news here in the OT most of the time.

It sucks, but if you aren't already using Chrome, download it and install the Disconnect extension. It will block most of their shitty ads and popups and make it halfway usable.

They are generally blocked for me. Only thing I don't like are the commenters

On a side note my parents just cancelled delivery after 30+ years because they were only getting the paper about twice a week. They said it started after the new ownership.

Not well organized and difficult to navigate. On a scale of 0-10, I would give it a 3 or 4. Most of the websites I visit are more user friendly.

i use ad block plus on computer and phone and don't see any ads. i been happy with it.

I'm pretty sure it's one guy who occasionally posts by his real name Phil--?. Some other commenters have called him out by his first name and the posts are very similar.
I never seem to have problems with popups or ads, using desktop or my iPad.
Their search function does suck though; I can't even find articles from 1-2 days ago unless I do a Google search with The Advocate and whatever key words.
