My wife bought me an Arc'teryx a couple of Christmas's ago and I love it. Pefect weight for mornings in the 30s/lower 40s.

Real Winter? My Primaloft jacket.

Louisiana bullshite half Fall/half Winter with rain and wind? A Columbia 3-in-1 or my Army softshell and fleece combo.

Big fan, have had the OG Beaufort for over 10 years now, and some others, including a couple of Liddesdales, the quilted one.
Have a down Patagonia for more casual situations that I also wear a lot.

I’ve had an arc’teryx atom lt for about 5 years now and love it. Light weight and useful across a wide range of temps. Perfect for a top layer or mid layer with a hardshell over the top.

I usually wear something light because I don't mind the cold.

I have several different Columbia jackets and coats for whatever a North Texas fall or winter wants to throw at me.

Columbia

This is my go to in Alaska till it gets down to single digits. I bought it in 2020, wear it probably 100 days a year and it has no signs of wear.

I find it's significantly more difficult figuring out what to wear for Lousiana due to the wind, humidity, and wild temp swings. Out west I really only needed 2 jackets. A heavy one and a light one. It was always dry so no need for all the waterproof bs.

I wear different ones depending on the temp and if it’s dry or raining - fleece, puffer, wool, canvas, and a rain proof jacket all in my closet from over the years

Have to take those toggles with you when you leave it in the coat room or some a-hole will steal them…

Really don’t need one these days. But I’ve been wearing Patagonia for 30 something years. In fact about 2 more years my 1st jacket will fit my oldest son and it’s in perfect condition
