re: Covid was the ultimate red pill (the whole system is fake) moment
Posted by Buryl on 4/25/24 at 11:36 am
I still don't get how yall did not realize this after the 2008 financial crisis. The power class fricked the middle class by giving billions to the people who crashed the system. Rampant fraud at every level, and almost zero criminal prosecutions.
I guess it didn't affect the south like out west ...

re: Powell: Fed can maintain higher rates for "as long as needed"
Posted by Buryl on 4/16/24 at 10:59 pm
Lowering rates to zero was wildly irresponsible. Everyone with a mortgage refinanced, which freed up a tremendous amount of money for consumer spending and/or investing.
On top of that, the wealthier were using free money to hoover up affordable homes to turn into rental units.
That's two (of...
The US added over $800 billion of debt in the 1st quarter........that's encouraging.
Exactly. Interest rates aren't a magic bullet. Especially when the government is dumping trillions of dollars into the economy....
re: It's funny how some of you are mad that LSU WBB was in the locker room for the anthem
Posted by Buryl on 4/2/24 at 1:56 pm
Difference between actually leaving the court during the anthem, and just being in the locker room at the time. The first is disrespectful, while the second is simply unfortunate.
If they were already in the locker room then few would notice or remark on it
Only difference is in...
re: I have never seen a coach almost universally hated in the media quite like Kim Mulkey
Yes let’s get back to the maga “liberal media” conspiracy theories, because we haven’t had enough of that in the past week. I swear y’all just park yourselves in these echo chambers and work yourselves into a rabid frenzy. And from what? Most of it is imagined hypothetical nonsense that your ...

I mean, why would anyone suggest that she can't be a hood rat and a good basketball player? That doesn't make any sense.
Damn bro, why not just say you don't like black people? I bet you cried when Bear let them in the team....

It's uncommon for a 5th grader to believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny. Parents should definitely have said something to warn everyone in advance....

re: Politically incorrect sheriff tells citizens to shoot to kill home invaders...
Posted by Buryl on 3/27/24 at 6:14 pm
I don't mean to be pedantic, but the sheriff did not day people could "shoot to kill" - he said "shoot AND kill," which is an important distinction.
I don't think anyone us Santa Rosa County has to worry, but remember that in many jurisdictions, if you admit your goal was to kill so...
re: How many Americans have been victims of violent crime by Putin
I don't care what Putin likes. I don't care if he likes "the gays" or not. Is he executing them by throwing them from rooftops, or was that the goat fricking terrorists in the ME?
And you say what he's doing is 100× worse than Biden? Last I checked, Putin was actually securing his internati...
re: How many Americans have been victims of violent crime by Putin

You really need to get away from the false binary on Ukraine (and everything else). You guys hate Biden for doing the EXACT same things as Putin, except Putin is 100x worse and don't like the gays.
Do you realize how easy it is to be manipulated when you're only willing to consider two options?

You forgot to add, "according to Russia." Just like China says that covid didnt come from their lab. As awful as our government has been, Russia has been 1000x worse. I don't understand how ya'll accept everything Russia says without question. ...

Also I would not believe anything coming from Russia or the terrorists they captured. Right now its in Russia's best interest to blame the attack on Ukraine to help...

re: Yellen: "I regret saying inflation was transitory"
Posted by Buryl on 3/13/24 at 9:42 pm
Who would've thought that handing out trillions of dollars and lowering interest rates to zero, all while the supply chain was a disaster, would cause inflation. Lowering rates to zero freed up a shitload of capitol for people to spend on other shite. How stupid are these people....
