The longer you wait the more likely your kid will have autism

When you can financially support it and your family and give it the education and nutrition it needs to thrive in life.

This. The stupids are reproducing @ a higher rate than people who are actually ready/fit to be good parents.

12...That way you'll only be 30 when that blood sucker is off your payroll.

Whatever age you can trick a girl into letting you bust a nut inside of her.

At least 30 for me, so that would put my wife at 27. It really depends upon stability, my wife won't finish school until she's 26.
Our dads were done having kids by the time they were 28 and 26 and our moms 27 and 23. So we'll start having kids around or after our parents were done having kids
Yeah, the age seems to keep going up from generation to generation, as I said in my OP.
I also see a trend where working women in large cities push off having kids past 30, especially if they have good careers. On that topic, the United States has amongst the worst maternity and paternity benefits in the western countries. The number of days you get off in this country is pathetic when compared to European countries (in some of them both mom and dad get 6 months off paid I think).

I've seen this before, how is this paid for? Does the company pay or the government?

Been practicing since I was 16 and just had first one at 35. #2 will come within the next year.

How old is too old for a person to have a child - especially a woman? I hear more and more about women that are 40 having a child. I know there are increased health risks to mother and child as you get older, but I don't know what age would be considered "too old." 35? 40? Older than that?

For most people, never.
Unfortunately they usually don't get the memo and their spawn end up diluting the gene pool.

Especially if you have wealthy parents who can take care of the bugger while you finish school and get degrees.

16. your parents pay for most everything and they'll be off to college before you're 35.

I am not sure. It is probably a combination of both. In California most companies give two weeks off, but you can take an additional 6 weeks off (anytime during the first year after the baby is born - called baby bonding leave), during which time the state of California pays about 56% of your base salary, which is not taxed. So you don't make as much as you would have if you were working during these 6 weeks, but it comes close.

Yeah, they have a show about how easy it is to have a child at 16 years old. All of the people on that show are clearly mature enough to have a child at 16...even the trashy ones.
