the K-12 educational systems

in state employers often have to hire out of state candidates when they don't want to go that route

Property taxes have the least amount of negative externalities compared to income, sales taxes and other taxes. But better is the land value tax which does not punish owners for improving their land.

If every state contract ever had been awarded honestly, with no kickbacks, no graft, corruption, skimming, stealing and no dishonesty of any kind, Louisiana could be the richest state in the nation.

All of the money that went missing could have been honestly invested.

They would need no taxes because they could pay their bills from the interest and dividends.

Also, Jindal could spend some time in state, you know, running things.
