I can understand somewhat wanting to downsize, but some are taking it too far and act like they have never heard of a trailer

I think it's a good consideration when the land is what is the pull.

That's really the only way I'll have a tiny house. If it's on good land and I plan on spending all my time outside.

I love tiny houses but I generally call them camps...

I don't get how they justify spending 50k on a 150 SF house, knowing they could triple the size for the same price or less...assuming they aren't trying to be mobile

I'm surprised colleges haven't jumped on the trend and started building them and renting them out at premium prices.

I'd rather live in a small house in an area with stuff to do than a McMansion in buttfrick nowhere.

just watched an episode of Tiny House Hunters and the girl grew up in mansion and now wants to live in a tiny house with lots of land so they can build a barn...at this point the farm animals will have more room to live than they will

Love them. Grew up in 800-1100 sq. foot homes, upsized as an adult and realize how ridiculous it is is to have a large, expensive home to pay for and maintain.

Give me a 500-700 sq. foot cabin and that's all I need.

My wife says she would rather a tiny penis over a tiny house

So I guess she gets the best of both worlds.

No thanks. I'd rather my dumps just stink up the bathroom, not the whole house.

some are fine, but it's these homes that are 300 sq ft or less that I just find strange

Lived in a brand new cabin around 300 sq. feet for a summer. Hell, it was probably less than 300. Loved it.

When I got back to JNU, my 2800 sq. foot house seemed like a huge waste. I downsized and am still working my way down.

Less worry, less cleaning, more efficient.

I think there is a happy medium between wayyyy too big and super tiny.

And 300sq feet is NOT that happy medium.

It'd be hard being a hoarder in a tiny house.

Depends on your lifestyle. I could live with a bedroom, small kitchen and small bathroom.

If I were living alone, this 300 sq. ft beauty would e sufficient for me
