I'm specifically talking about the memory foam mattresses from places like loom and leaf or Casper. Any experience on how they compare to Tempurpedic? Certainly the cost is much lower, but I'm skeptical as to how they match up.

I used Helix....you get a touch bit more customization than some of the others. Mine is a lot more firm than a Casper or Tuft & Needle.

I love my ghostbed. I'd call it medium-firm. 75 on a scale of 100.

Tuft&Needle went up in price, so I went with Brooklyn Bedding, feels great.

I can't remember the name, but there's a sister company that BB is a huge partner in. People say the quality of the mattress itself is VERY similar and the only difference is the aesthetics are plain jane like T&N, Casper, Leesa. Price is a lot less as well.

I have a Casper and like it a lot. Not a mattress expert so there might be better out there

Interested in hearing more about this. My last two mattresses were Serta pillow tops, and they don't hold up worth a shite. I want something a little better for my back. Looking for something in the medium firm range.

Amen to that...serta pillow tops are just absolute crap a year after you bring them home.

Tuft & Needle is the best money I have ever spent except for drugs.

They lasted 2-3 years.

I just can't justify spending $7-$900 on a mattress when it fails after a couple years.

If I spend $300 on an Amazon mattress and need a new one in 2 years, I'm fine with that.
