In 2013, I got a 2012 flats boat with only 30 hours on the motor for $18,500 when sticker was around $30k new. Ended up selling it two years later when I found out I had to move. Got $23,000 for it.

I recently bought a Felt B12 bike. MSRP was $2,999, but for some reason, the guy at the bike shop out of the blue told me he'd sell it to me for $1,999. No haggling at all. Funny part is I was totally willing to buy the next lower level bike for $2,199. So I walked out with a better bike for less money.

When Jumbo Sports closed down in Baton Rouge in the late 90's, I snagged a couple of 5K round cases of .22.

$70.00 apiece. I felt like I'd won the lottery.

I've had some deals for coins (both for the the collector value or the precious metal value). The best was from the family of a moonshiner who died in the early 1950's He had about $300 worth (face value) of silver coins stashed that they had found in the attic. He apparently had been stashing them starting in the 1910s to 1920s as there were lot of high grade coins starting in the teens. The house was later destroyed by Katrina, I have wondered what other things like that ended up in debris piles or out to sea.

My brother scored a 1940 Martin acoustic guitar from a old maid in Ashland, KY who's brother bought it and put it under a bed in the family house before he went off to his death in WWII. Original case and period strings with extra strings.

Back in 2011, I bought a 2009 FORD F-250 gas work truck for 5k.

Traded it in a few months later and the dealer gave me 13k for it.

The local supermarket had 20 containers of Lump crab meat marked with stickers that said "Special! $2.00 Lunch Meat." They were regularly $18.99. I checked the expiration dates to make sure they were not about to expire. They still had 3 months before expiration. I loaded my buggy with every container (20 in all) but thought it might get flagged at the register because an employee obviously made a mistake and labeled the wrong item. Watched as she just rang them all up at $2.00 a pop. We had she crab soup, Crab cakes, and crab dip every night for about 2 weeks.

Bought a cherry 2001 Hells Bay Whipray no liner from some guy in Slidell. Gave him $10k for the boat. It was sort of mythical beast that we knew was in the area then one day I saw what I thought looked like a Ram-Lin trailer poking out from under an old billboard sign being used as a boat cover. Yamaha 25 2 stroke tiller with 2 hours. He bought the boat and put it in the water for a wet test in Florida, hauled it home and parked it. I've turned down $25k for this boat.

You do know that rebeloke buying the vehicle for that price is not a real thing?

At this point, it is my belief that RebelOke is a Chicken alter.
