That was big news years ago but I never hear anything about it anymore, does it still go on? I just watched a movie and saw the "Pirating is not a victimless crime" thing before it started and it got me to think about if it’s even still around.

Streaming happened. Why download shite and get viruses when you can play anything on YouTube or spotify?

I used to download a ton of music. Malware killed three different computers.

It goes by a new name: kodi. And people
Use the same argument to use it even though it's illegal.

There was always malware. I do think streaming pornsites have had an effect though.

Most definitely still around. There are a couple Italian TV series that I like to watch, but I can't get access to them easily here. So, long story short, yes, pirating is still a thing.

The generation that pirated stuff mostly grew up and got jobs that allow them to afford stuff.

Im not sure watching a stream on the internet is illegal. Obviously hosting a stream would seem to be.

Its still around from what I've heard. Of course I have no first hand experience so I wouldn't know much about it.

Relatively cheap legit streaming options has made it less of an issue in my opinion
