burn food into skillets/pans to an absurd level, leave dishes with food stuck to them in the sink
Does he realize this attracts rodents & flies? Not to mention the old food smell. I don't even like the smell of cold food. Cold food as in... like gumbo or something. It might just be me, but when you take it out to warm it up, there is something about the way certain foods smell. But yeah burn food, the longer you let it sit in pots or pans the harder it is to get off. It takes 10 secs to rinse it off.

True
A fundamental thing I think everyone should know is basic first aid skills. I don't know if Louisiana has this in their high schools...but many states have mandated CPR be taught in HS. Everyone should know basic CPR....or at least how to use an AED.

To be fair, I've never seen it go longer than a day. But still burns me up
Agree. I've heard some terrible stories about people making it worse with their uneducated attempts at CPR.

I think everyone should know to keep first aid supplies around. My friends always mess with me because anytime we go anywhere I bring this small first aid kit. It has bandaids, bandages, neosporin, Tylenol, etc but just about every time, at some point someone ask for something. Mostly Tylenol or something.
Oh and how to jump start a vehicle.

I am just not a big fan of dirty. I am a bit of a germaphobe.

Heinlein said it best:
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
