There's an egret that hangs out in the pond behind our house that really pisses him off. Earlier the ducks were hanging out with the egret and I could see the look of disappointment in his eyes.

Any chirping or squeaking sound.
He woke us up one day, practically about to pee on himself with fear. We tried to figure out what was wrong, but couldn't. He jumped up in the bed (doesn't do this) and got all the way in the shower with the water on while I was in there.
Turns out the low battery chirp of a smoke detector was driving him insane. Similarly, if I wear bedroom shoes with a cheap rubber sole, they make a very light squeak sound on the floor and he'll cower and hide from me.

So does mine. Its like borderline panic attacks. I got him a thundershirt and I act happy and excited to make him think nothing is wrong, but it doesn't help.
