people always mispronounce my first and last name. I'm so used to it I don't even bother correcting. Just roll with it.

People have been pronouncing my last name with an R in the middle my entire life. There is no R in my name, and an R doesn't even sound right when you pronounce it

OTOH, if you're corrected, how do you respond? Apologize and restate? Archie Bunker them and wince, "Whatever?"

It depends on who it is. If I will see them again, I will correct them. If it is someone that I will probably never see again or care about, I won't.

I usually say, "Are you sure"?

I correct them and make a joke out of it saying "I answer to everything".

I give them a high five.

My former boss, who is still with the company but is now in a different role, used to constantly mispronounce my last name. I corrected him every time and got more and more aggressive about it. At some point it shows a total lack of respect for someone when you can't remember how to pronounce their name. Needless to say I don't think very highly of him.

when people call me by my legal name it's like nails on a chalkboard. But they don't know the name I go by since it's not my name.

So it's Hammatime? You a brotha?

I correct them, no one wants to call someone by the wrong name. Just don't call them out in front of other people.

I am tired of people fricking my name up. If it's someone on the phone it immediately turns me off and I usually hang up. if it's in person, I either correct them, how I do it depends on their attitude.

Most of the time it's a customer so I don't say anything.

My grandmother always calls me my dad's name first. She may have gotten it right the first time once in the last twenty years. I don't care.

I check to see if they are experiencing a visual hallucination and are talking to what they are seeing, though that is mainly at work.
