I'm surprised no one has said Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. World class primate exhibit. I've been twice and its really a nice experience in a great part of Chicago.

They wanted to move the zoo to a nicer part of town where there was a Children’s Museum, but the politics got in the way, where a certain demographic were claiming racism saying the reason for the move was to just move it to a “white” area. They were going to still keep it in Jackson. It’s ridiculous.

Sounds familiar

The Memphis zoo is great. Since 1990, it has been funded with almost $100 million and is considered one of the best in research and breeding.

That's what I've always heard about the Omaha zoo. What makes it so, if I may?

The exhibits are simply top notch and they have a lot of them.

The have a huge large cat exhibit, the aquarium is excellent with a large shark tunnel, indoor jungle, desert, and a very cool nocturnal exhibit. The primate areas are excellent and so are the small animal exhibits which I really enjoy. They are constantly updating it and it always feels cleaner than most zoos.

My wife and both love zoos/aquariums and going to a zoo was one of our first dates so we try to allot time for a trip any time we are traveling close to a major one. The Omaha Zoo is the only one we ever make the trip around the zoo visit itself...it is Omaha for god's sake.
