#10. One of my first soccer coaches would let us pick any number but 10, which was given to the "most valuable man on the pitch".

#32 in football because of OJ (yeah, I know)

#23 in basketball because of Michael Jordan (he was in college when I was in High School)

Always wanted to be #6 in basketball because of Dr. J, but they never offered #6 as a basketball number.

Wore 12 growing up because that was my cousins number and I liked it.

Wore 25 when I made varsity because 12 was taken and I didn't change it my senior year.

17

Because when I signed up for pee wee football when I was 11, which was the first sport that let me choose my # instead of just giving me one, my lucky # 8 was already taken, so I thought 17 would be the coolest age to be... So I picked 17. Also Jason Campell was QB at AU at the time

31 - in southern Louisiana lsu baseball is about as big as you get. Wally was my favorite player on the team. I still remember I was playing in a fort of pillows and blankets in my room when I saw on the ESPN bottom line that he had passed. Broke my heart, I still put 31 on the bill of everyone of my ball caps

Same here. I wore 5 in everything until Wally died, ever since then any number involving baseball/softball has been 31.
