Follow suit all the way. Counting cards and paying attention to suits played in order to figure out who has what is way more strategy in itself than anything cut throat offers, imo. Makes sliding a pedro on an off suit lead that much more of a gamble and that much more rewarding when you know beforehand that there is nothing the opponent to your left can do about it.

fricking right, nothing better than knowing I can lead with a Pedro cause Nonc next to me shot his wad covering an off card 3!

Chedballz, I meet you at the launch to Lake bouef we can go frogging and whoever falls out the boat first wins.

How can anyone say cutt throat has more strategy? You are just playing whatever card you want. Its stupid. You actually have to have a brain and know how to lead when playing follow suit. You know, use some strategy. Cutt throat is for people that don't want to think.

Doesn't matter which is more strategic or not. Cutthroat is just wrong all together.

You have that backwards. There is much more strategy in cutthroat. The lead can go off knowing it will force one of his opponents to burn a trump to cover the chance the lead's partner has the pedro. If they dont cover you know they are likely to have the pedro.

Or when you have 5 trump but are dp, you can use the off card to pull out some trump increasing the odds there is nothing to beat you during the final round of play.

You can do that second scenario while playing follow suit

Cutthroat is for dummies that can't think. Cut throat players might as well play spades

No. If I lead off then everyone has to follow suit and no trump are burned. It is a purposeless trick. In cutthroat the off hands are very telling.

well sometimes you get dumped on and have to get 7. not that pussy 6 shite down da bayou. and when dumped on following suit may be your only shot. as the dealer you keep all off suit cards in one suit so you can drop some point cards when wanted. throwing off makes it too easy to just drop a pedro in at random times. takes away the teamwork.

cutthroat and 6 min bid are easy ways to play.

So you decide to explain cut throat having more strategy by discussing 2 ways of playing strategically in follow suit? I just don't think you understand what strategy is.
