Sounds like a threat to federal law enforcement officers. Maybe they should take you to jail? You'd support that, though. According to you, you should obey and shut up when it comes to authority.

Stay the frick out of the way and shut your mouth. That's the thing this social crusader forgot. He was just trying to make a name for him. The advocate had a reporter like this back in the 90's. He was dwelt with many times for being an arse.

All this clown had to do was sit on the other side of the street and not be a distraction. He could have photographed and filmed all day long but the flash made him a distraction. Turn the flash off, film all day long. Most of the cops I know are extremely used to cameras. It's when you get in the way that they become a problem. When the scene is all clear and safe, ask all the questions you like. But no, I got to be an a-hole and test the patience of cops working at 2.30 am on a burglary call. Smooth move Mr reporter.

I can smell the bacon from all the way over here in Lafayette.

BRPD is gonna get more than they wanted out of this. Chris Nakamoto is going to rip the department to shreds.
this and he had better have an EBR address (BRPD OFFICER) or some of the Metro Council folk will be all up in his arse.

Is this real life? You can be arrested for saying you're going to get a policeman fired?

Even if that's the law, where are we finding these cops who would arrest someone over that? What a wuss.

What part South Eugene can be completely pitch black? I used to live in the area so I'm officially an expert.

I live right near there. The area is exceptionally well lit at night and generally very safe. That pizza hut brings in undesirables, but they generally don't wander too far from it.

This thread is great. The boot lickers here are like strongsafety in a race thread.

The only justification for Brett Buffington's arrest would be if he was filming the investgation in portrait mode.

Sort of like the 500 ridiculously obnoxious high power strobe lights that every cops feels necessary to use on a routine traffic stop on the side of the highway? No, that isn't distracting to the drivers passing by! Those lights are the equivalent to the bull balls hanging from the hitches on jacked up trucks driven by 5'-4" rednecks.

This looks bad for BRPD which is another black eye on this joke of a dept.

Officers have to deal with media if they cannot handle it quit.

I hope the next mayor starts looking into this joke called the BRPD and starts cleaning house.

Now I would love to know what genius of a police officer had his car stolen?

The officer probably left his vehicle unattended because he was distracted by a bright camera flash.

I'd be interested to see which house got hit. My grandparents moved into 630 S. Eugene back in the late 40's when this was suburbia and Eugene was a dirt road.
