I'm looking for a little help with watch recommendations.

I haven't owned a watch in nearly 20 years and I'm looking to get one. I just don't know what are good options within the $200-$300 range.

Also, where are good places to purchase in the Greater NOLA area?

For your price I would look at Citizen for everyday wear. If you want a sport watch I would go Suunto.

TJ Maxx often has quality watches in stock in that price range.

Get an el cheapo from wal mart. They last forever.

On another note, it's funny how times are changing and fewer people are wearing watches since phones have the time.

Can you get an eco drive in that range?

I mean this with all sincerity - there are no "quality" watch options in the $200-$300 range. A solid quartz option like the G-shock is fine, but don't waste your money on a mechanical watch in that price range.

ETA: Alternatively, you can just buy a watch because you like the way it looks in that range.

Orient, Laco, Seiko, Citizen. I have been looking at Orient for a while. I'll probably eventually get one. Good bang for buck. It's a brand of seiko.
