Was Hitler any worse than Alexanderthe Great , Caesar, ect...?

I mean those two guys and many other conquerors like Darius or Hammurabi did basically the same stuff as Hitler. There are stories of Caesar massacreing thousands of people a day in Gaul, and the only reason he's even in Gaul is personal wealth and glory.
I'm not even speaking to steppe conquerors like Atilla or Ghengis Khan because certainly they did worse things than Hitler.
I'm not making an argument that Hitler isn't bad, of course he is. What I'm wondering though is if Hitler did exactly what he did but 500+ years ago if our opinion of him would be different

I see what you're trying to do, but comparing what happened centuries ago to what happened a mere 70 years ago is hard. We're supposed to be more evolved as a civilization and here we were in a war which millions of people died and we created weapons which could destroy cities. Hitler is responsible for more deaths than anyone in history

No he's not, the Mongols killed as many as 100 million people while Ghengis Khan was alive if you believe the highest estimates (most estimates are between 25-50 million). That was also before they conquered Europe and finished with the Chinese, neither of which would've haloed had he not lived so you can at least triple that number for him
Hell, Hitler may not even be in the top 10 as far as deaths responsible for

So did Caesar, so did Atilla, so did Ghengis Khan, so did Darius, so did many, many famous conquerors. Many of them almost succeeded too

Agreed. I think the main reason Hitler will always be reviled is that he lost. Should he have won, or even stalemated, history would have eventually forgotten his evil as long as he held his empire for some time. Mao killed off far more than Hitler and already has been given a pass for the most part as he won his war.
