The 1975-1985 era in the BR area was a phenomenal time for live music. There was no such thing as YouTube or the internet to even watch recordings. There where many bars and other venues during that time:
Papa Joes, Sports Page, J Club, Rusty Nail, Texas Club, Kingfish.....

Many good local bands as well:
Pot Liquor, Gregg Wright, Bill Guess, Aura, Maniaxe, Blue Max, Zebra, Lillian Axe.....

It was a different time then, when BR was a top 5 tour stop and the LSU Assembly Center hosted future HOF rock groups on a weekly basis. Lots of great memories, Thanks

I remember the Guttersharks at the Caterie. Some of my best times there. Miss the band and the Caterie.

I know strange bump but just got back from listening to some good live music and made me think way back.

I saw Pale Face tear it up at The Rusty Nail and Papa Joe’s, many times.

Joe Batson, the guitarist, was a cool dude.

Werewolf at the Caterie was great.

I listened to Meriwether but that’s objectively bad music.
