Ebay link $11,200

2005 E55 AMG

126K miles.

I drive 4-5K miles a yr and this would be a second car.

Anyone ever wanted one?

I would daily drive an E63s Wagon if I had the money to afford it.

I’ve had my eye on a 2011 550i with 6 speed tranny. Can get them for around 12k.

Turbo v8 with a stick. Yes please.

Depreciation is nuts on those (luxury cars) things.

Any decent 2011 Silverado is going to run you more than that.

I'm not buying a Camry.

I say that but might consider one if my car died tomm.

Might as well put more miles than that on it. Letting them set isn't ideal. Have a similar model and think I crossed 9k last year.

Figure 3-5k per year in upkeep so you will come out ahead.

Except no one in here is talking about a Silverado. And what about a 2011 Silverado is as fun as driving a sports car with a stick. And his point is that you can get a lot of car for cheap, after someone else ate the depreciation.

Hurr durr

frick no. Why? You could get an SL55 with less miles for a couple thousand more.
That E is WAAY overpriced.

How many miles you have on yours?

I can turn a wrench some and have family with a mechanic shop. Brakes, oil, light stuff I can do. Dump the air suspension on the E55.

That is essentially what I was saying, simply using the Silverado as a comparison in depreciation.

If you think I was telling him to buy a Silverado your reading comprehension is abysmal.

As far as manual equipped luxury, I'd get a CTS-V over any of the above.

Think I got it around 58k and now around 75k.

Have hydraulic suspension (ABC) that has yet to give me trouble, knock on wood. Have had expensive repairs and meh repairs. Recent was last week for a new cranking battery ($225 and a trip to the stealership)

Maintenance can be a bitch on AMG’s but that is true of any high performance German car. You should do it.

One time when I was 20yrs old a chick with a half shaved head who's dad is a cardiovascular surgeon picked me up in one and we went buy some coke.

Terrible blow, in many ways.

No I was just saying it’s a bad comparison bc it’s not about the cost or what it’s currently worth vs it’s purchase price, it’s the fun factor.

Ok stout

Just get a Camry. You can’t afford repairs on that thing and some Lebanese frick smoked hashish in it and never did routine maintenance

That engine has a nasty flaw with the oil system, tends to destroy the engine and there's no fix except pulling the engine to put in new parts if caught soon enough.
