You seem more insecure about defending your LSU degree that means absolutely nothing to 99% of the nation. Get over it dude! LSU isn't shite when it comes to academics. Tearing down smaller colleges in Louisiana isn't changing that. If you got a 4 year degree than that is accomplishing something enough said.

I seriously doubt you saw mold in every building you went in to. Sweet hyperbole though.

So saying it’s an average institution that is a lot of fun is being insecure about it? Or saying anyone who is even half intelligent can have most or all of their tuition paid for? Alright then.
I recognize LSU for what it is and enjoyed my time there. I only wish ULL grads would be honest with themselves about their school.

Everybody needs to chill out on this academic squabble. If you go to a public university in Louisiana, you're going to an average school. Each university in the state has programs that are good or maybe even great, but overall every institution is aggressively average. Yes this includes LSU. For all of the money and favor the state has dumped into LSU going back to the Huey Long days, LSU is a gigantic disappointment.

I think my uncle put it best...
If you want a job anywhere in Louisiana, go to McNeese or ULL.
If you want a job anywhere in America, go to LSU.
If you want a job anywhere in the world, go to Tulane.

You idiot.
Do you not understand fricking context?
They recognize it a flagship university where students likely get exposed to things beyond academia that create more well-rounded employees. LSU is seen as such. ULL is not even fricking seen!
The OP started this BTW.
On “managerial”, son, I’m a goddamn rockstar in the engineering world......with all three of my silly LSU degrees.

You think people in Massachusetts see an LSU degree and think "oh man, I gotta hire this guy"?
Relationships you build are much more valuable than the school on your diploma.

No it’s not.
It’s exactly on par with some peer unversities and below others academically. It’s right where it should/deserves to be.

Speaking from experience, no. Of course not. But they also don’t look at it and say “wait where did he go?”
And I can also tell you from experience that they don’t look at it and say “definitely not hiring him” because if that were the case I’d be unemployed.

A lot of opinions and no facts in this thread

I dont give a flip about your engineering degree and where its from. You seem like a retard.

I do like how apparently employers like to look at resumes to make sure potential employees went to a flagship university, because, you know, experiences.
