^ lol.

Saying that LSU is on a totally different level regarding academics than ULL is laughable. LSU is nothing special. Is it a bad school? No... but to act like it’s a Tulane or Yale is stupid.

By the way: LA Tech has a better architecture program..

I’ve been through both recently and ULL’s library is in far better condition than LSU. Other buildings go back and forth as well obviously depending on age. A problem for both is annual budget cuts so maintenance efforts are lacking.

Lame OP!

I think every academic institution from elementary school to universities in this state neglects maintenance and upkeep. It’s not budgetary, it’s just plain neglect.

The exterior of the football stadium is a moldy mildew mess.

Usl is a glorified community college.

Lsu had land, sea, and space grants.

Try again

LSU is ranked #443 in the nation for academics... my point stands that LSU is not a dominant academic school.

It’s funny that you can brag on LSU but ignore Tulane, the best school in the state.

Makes me appreciate nicholls even more. That campus was practically rebuilt in it's entirety within the last 10 years. All of the old dorms were torn down and rebuilt, and most of the academic buildings received extensive renovations.

Recently graduated from LSU in bio and applying to med schools. Nobody will admit but an LSU degree looks a lot better when applying than does Southeastern, McNeese, etc

Go to LSU and pay twice as much for a degree that holds the same weight as one from UL.

This is about right from a national perception. In Louisiana though lsu folks act like like they graduated from some ivy league school

Point is you got your degree but to sit on your high horse and say LSU is some Hard school to get accepted to is laughable. It never really mattered to me where you graduated from anyway. If your an arse and i have to work with you than things wont go welll no matter where you graduated from.

First of all, anyone of even average intelligence probably doesn’t pay much to go to LSU, if at all.

Second, no. Of course LSU is not some prestigious degree that is respected nationwide, but ULL is still WELL below it. It’s not even a comparison.

Why are you here?

Seriously, let’s stepbaside of academics. Let’s talk Prestige. ULL has zero. Zeerrrrrooooo. The school isn’t even discussed as a comparable option to LSU. NOT EVEN CLOSE.

It’s actually quite pathetic you’d even try to compare the two schools.

You mention Tulane in a feable attempt to somehow discredit LSU. Apples and oranges. Thats trying to compare a school like Penn to PSU. Totally different experiences. Thing is, ULL’s pipe dream is to be LSU not Tulane......

Go away sad little brother.

No, it’s really not.

I don’t know a single person who thinks or acts this way. The vast majority of people acknowledge that it is an average state school that is a lot of fun - there’s really not a lot of snobbery about going there. But they also know it’s leaps and bounds above ULL in every aspect.

Nope. Come to Texas or go to Georgia. An LSU eng degree will get acknowledged. No one knows who the hell ULL is.

I know this from first hand managerial experience.
Come at me.

I went to both.... No it's not.

Fact is LSU is the only school in the state that carries any water nationally. I'm in Orlando this week with a few hundred people from all over the country. They all know what/where LSU is and I'd bet less than 5% know what ULL is.
