The restraint showed by us will be repaid with blood. Mark my words.

All you have to do is shred 1 group of boats, 1 time, and then they won't send anymore.

Came within 300 yards of a US Destroyer with speed boats ehh.

Reminded me of this from movie Battleship:

I'm sure Iran will be able to purchase some new naval vessels with that $1.3 billion the Obama administration just wired over.

This is accurate. Just turn into them and run them the frick over then rescue the survivors and make a big deal out of how you had to save some Iranian sailors in the drink. Better yet, smoke the lot of them and keep sailing. Don't say a word about it. Tehran will get the message.

A lot of that will go toward the S-300/400 new SAM systems and the most up-to-date fighters the Russians have. Things may get real interesting quick-like and I don't doubt our illustrious self-anointed king is in cahoots with Iran.

1.) That destroyer is moving pretty quick for a big ship. I didn't know they could go that fast.

2.) In my dream world, either a handful of snipers, or laser guided munitions would have been fired from the destroyer taking out all personnel on those small crafts within a second or two so no one would be able to communicate that they were fired upon. The destroyer would then have scooped up all the small craft effectively making them disappear. When the Iranians confront us about them, we claim we never saw the craft. There would be no wreckage or evidence to the contrary.

Yeah. The video was taken from the USS Nitze which was the closest approach, but she was transiting the Strait of Hormuz with the USS Mason.

They confronted TWO U.S. Arleigh Burke class destroyers with 4 bay boats. After the incident with the USS Cole, that's ballsy/insane to assume the Captains of the destroyers will show restraint when small vessels approach their warships.

35-45mph I believe, quite impressive in person to see big ships moving at any decent pace. The wakes are massive

He was obligated to.

Back before the Iranian revolution the government under the Shah paid lots of money for military equipment. When the revolution happened and the hostages were taken, Carter refused to deliver the equipment.

Essentially, the US accepted money for the purchase and didn't deliver what the money was for.

A committee was formed way back in the 1980's to deal with this, and it was only when Iran agreed to the nuclear treaty that the US released the funds.

This wasn't some shady "bribe", the money was owed to Iran the entire time and is being repaid over 35 years late.
