We already waited until they were inside our standoff range. I understand we're at peace, but anyone approaching an armed naval vessel in an aggressive manner is asking to be dealt with, particularly not communicating with or heeding warning measures such as flares.

Same concept as mutually assured destruction IMO... they attack our boat and their country entire country gets fricked up. They have no reason to attack that destroyer.

They'd be doing us a favor. So yeah -- I think we should be lenient.
