Would you rather...

Go on a 7-day cruise that leaves from New Orleans and goes to Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel?

or

Take an all-inclusive trip to one of the Caribbean Islands, such as Jamaica or the Bahamas?

An which one would be more expensive and by how much?

Neither

Price on those two trips would be totally dependent on how much you drink on cruise.

If those are the only options, I'd vote for the all-inclusive.

If you don't leave the resort it's great, but those islands are very "ghetto".

I prefer these three locatins to Jamacia and Gahamas, especially Roatan.

We did this route back in March on Royal Caribbean with family. Roataan is very beautiful and has some amazing snorkeling and scuba diving. Belize was ok, we went cave tubing, which takes up an entire day. Cozumel we just went to a resort (Nachi Cocum) and for $55 a person had a beach day with all inclusive drinks and lunch was served to us too. I drank a lot of tequila shots that day. It wasn't a bad trip, but if you really just want something where you hang out on beach all day...I'd do an all inclusive somewhere like Punta Cana, or I'd just fly to Roataan and stay somewhere, I think Southwest flys there now.

I'd rather chill in an area than go to multiple areas...but a cruise ship kinda does both of those things. So, it's not a loss either way.

Eat the other passengers when the ship inevitably loses engine power.

I like to eat at some local restaurants to get a feel for the area I'm visiting. You can't get that at an all inclusive resort that you'll probably never leave except for the airport.

I also usually stay somewhere with a kitchen so I can cook breakfast or light lunches.
