Well this just goes to show you they all suck. UPS has been the most consistent for me. I cant recall ever getting an accurate estimated delivery date from USPS and they will never update for day of delivery. I'll look up status and it'll say it's still at some random place in the country while its sitting on my doorstep. They are all terrible.

What? A government run organization doesn't run as efficiently nor as customer friendly as a private corporation?

Why were there more down votes on this than up votes before I got here? Are people here that dumb that they can't pick up sarcasm? Or are they that dumb that they will vote for a Democrat...either way we've determined that they are dumb.

Who does UPS and Fedex hand their packages off to when they determine that servicing a particular address isn't profitable or worth their time? That government-run organization.

Also, every USPS employee that I've ever interacted with has been very friendly and helpful. I can even call my local office right now and speak to an actual person right away who can help me if I ever have a problem. Have you ever tried to call someone at UPS?

USPS lost 6 packages in 3 months for me. 4 finally showed up days later. I have so many case numbers with them. Never have I had an issue with UPS or fedex

Yeah, I think you're full of shite and this story is a lie. I have a brother and two friends that are USPS employees and they don't attempt deliveries at 7:30 at night. Doesn't happen. Maybe you added an extra "s" by accident and you meant UPS

go freak off gump. I'm not wasting my time and posting the actual tracking number. It was USPS and they did have a notice that is was an attempted delivery at 7:30 pm. And sorry you have deadbeat relatives who works for the government.

USPS should have been privatized a long time ago.

USPS tracking or lack there of is the pits. I always cuss when an Amazon order is shipped this way. No tracking and sometimes late.

I can't believe USPS is getting so much love. They have fricked up my business several times in the last few months actually losing certified mail. Completely lost. Also had a check that sat in the back room because the dumbarse mail carrier forgot to log it in when it came from the mail branch. Finally after 5 days, they found it in the back room. Frick USPS sideways.

Government efficiency on time sensitive documents is always a recipe for disaster.

So your solution is to privatize the postal service rather than to use a more reliable service for time-sensitive documents?

USPS is fine when they are in charge of the entire run but every time I have something delivered starting with FX/UPS/DHL and handed off to USPS it is always at least a day late.

Have to say I've found USPS more reliable lately.

USPS has been incompetent for decades

#1 reason go take a gander at the USPS hub in ur city, they hire morons these days, and are lazy as frick.

#2 reason, is they are union government workers, it takes a hell storm to even get one suspended, and firing one of them, lol.

Meh, not really. They just have to deal with the worst parts of the government. They don't receive any direct federal money yet Congress has to approve any postal rate increases. Congress also forced the complete funding of their pension liabilities down their throat.

Don't get me wrong, the government is terribly inefficient and whatnot, but the USPS is an oft-cited yet misunderstood example of that.

Exactly. For whatever reason, the delivery to the local post office is considered the delivery date on the tracking, even though the package keeps the same tracking information once the USPS takes over. SmartPost or whatever it is called sucks as far as promptness is concerned.

-Had good & bad with USPS
-Nothing but good with UPS
-FedEx mostly OK: BBBBUUUTTTT, they use third parties as carriers. Worst drivers, generally shitty assholes, etc., etc.

I ordered something yesterday for my truck. I had the option of USPS or fedex. The USPS option was 2-6 business days and the fedex option was 2-3 business days and only $1 more. I choose to pay the extra dollar and according to my tracking number, it will be delivered today. So for an extra dollar.....frick you USPS.

My only issue with USPS is that they won't leave the package at my door. They will leave it out in the yard on a consistent basis. They're too lazy to climb a few stairs.
