UPS delivery sounds like a fun job.

Good exercise. Always seeing new things. Doubt it's very stressful most of year. Might get to secs a few lonely housewives.

She must be making pretty good money for that job then huh.

Our Fed Ex guy routinely delivers our neighborhood between 6:30-7 all year. I give the guy some credit but I've been tempted to call and complain sometimes as that's literally every night M-F. I don't understand if he starts late or what, but it's kinda ridiculous IMO to have that with all the kids running around all the time.

Yeah during the holidays they really put in work to try and keep up with volume.

It's not just the holidays. Ups was the hardest job I ever worked.

I've had deliveries as late as 10:45 the last couple of years. I didn't make any online black Friday purchases this year

Calling to complain bc the man is working? Thats a new one...yea lets call and complain in a guy working to put food on the table but yet get pissed when a guy does not work and is on Medicaid supported by people that do work. You make zero sense. Kids should not be running in the street unsupervised to begin with. Jesus Christ man.

Over six figures, she makes a lot from overtime because she never works less than nine hours a day. She works harder than anyone I know, im glad she is retiring in a year or two.

what exactly is your complaint? That your house is on the end of the drivers route? Some drivers do multiple loads a day and are more concerned with delivering your packages, not dodging neighborhood friendly times. Teach your kids to not stand in front of a UPS truck and maybe you won't worry so much

Its usually not the drivers fault. The driver can't deliver if the morning shift hasn't unloaded the incoming trucks. Seasonal Help is awful and usually ups/fedex is short handed.

Latest was a little past 11PM last year, best part was it was overnight scheduled for AM delivery. Wasn't even a holiday, middle of the flipping summer.

Plane arrived late from the hub due to weather.

USPS usually delivers b/w 2-3 PM, last week I saw the mail lady on my street at 7:30. She said she has so many packages she can't fit all the mail in the car. She delivers packages in the AM and then the mail after

DHL/Airborne here during HS and Christmas/Summer breaks during college for me. And same here. These drivers, sorters, and loaders work their asses off.

Plus you wear shorts year around and get to drive around with no fricking doors. Living the dream.

I worked there 11 years.

Never missed that job. Ever.

And still dislike Christmas.

Every package has to be delivered every day. Well, mostly.

More tomorrow.
