burgeman - If geaux doesn't come get him, co-worker said don't take him to the pound, to take him to Tangi Humane Society - they are a no-kill facility. They're located just past Hammond High School, on the left.

OP, I sincerely apologize to you and all on this board in this thread. After I responded that I would take the dog, my world blew up at work. I have been called to the DFW area on short notice for the next 3 weeks. I am truly sorry I wasn't able to reach out and communicate to you. Thank you for what you are doing.

Asked my mom if she could take him, said no, parents can't handle a dog that big right now. I'd love to take him but I can't as well. :(
Black labs are very popular right now so I'd keep looking. You'll eventually find the little guy a home. As the other posters said, no to kill shelters.
